Walk and Talk Challenge

Walk and Talk Challenge

Amy launched Under the Same Sky’s inaugural Walk and Talk Challenge during May Mental Health Awareness month in 2021 as a way to encourage her Instagram community to combine getting out and moving, with the action we know can make the biggest difference: talking. This could mean grabbing a friend for a walk around your neighborhood or calling a family member up while you walk home from work. Whatever gets you moving and connected with those in your life.

We hope you'll join us this month as we walk together, under the same sky. Here’s how to participate:

  1. Get Out There and Walk: Breathe in the fresh air and move your body. Walking will do wonders for your mind.

  2. Talk + Connect: Bring a friend, call a loved one, or spiritually connect with someone who has passed. Use this moment in time to check in on others.

  3. Snap a Pic or Video: Spread the word about Mental Health Awareness Month by posting a pic or video from your Walk and Talk to your Instagram.

  4. Tag @utsscharity: Help support our mission to open up the conversation around mental health and support those who have been impacted by suicide loss.

  5. Nominate a Friend (Or 2!): Let’s keep the movement going! Tag a friend or family member to join the #WalkandTalkChallenge.
